In the freezer aisle
Find a Bag Near You
Fastik lives in the freezer aisle at European, halal and specialty grocers, with more supermarkets stocking it every season. Here is what the bags look like, which aisle to check, and how to get your store to carry them if it doesn't yet. Shopping from home? Email us your ZIP code and we answer with the closest shelves.
What you're looking for
Two labels, one kitchen. The chef mascot on a red-and-yellow bag is Fastik; the red-and-gold label with three horses is Troyka. Both come in two sizes: a 2 lb (907 g) family bag and a 1 lb (454 g) bag.
Only the Lamb, Chicken and Beef bags carry the halal mark. If the bag does not say halal, it is not.

Which aisle
Fastik is frozen, never chilled, so skip the fridge and head for the freezer doors. Check in this order:
- The main freezer aisle.
- The international or European freezer set.
- The halal freezer, if the store keeps one.
In smaller European and halal markets, look for a chest freezer near the deli counter. That is where we usually live.

If the freezer comes up empty

Don't see it at your market?
Ask. Managers listen to shoppers more than to salesmen, and one sentence at the counter does it:
“Any chance you could start carrying Fastik pelmeni? They're made in New Jersey.”
That is genuinely enough. If your manager wants the details, send them to the store page: case packs, our USDA number and the one-page line card are all there, and a person answers the same business day.
